CHAIRMANS REPORT: * The Chairman advised of the Executive Committees general disappointment with the lack of membership support for the idea to adopt a venue. Only Boreley and Pensham had so far been taken on by clubs. * Following a discussion that took place at the Annual General Meeting it was reported that the BAA allocate a total of 8 matches for clubs that have in excess of 15 members. 5 of those matches are free and the remaining 3 costs £2 per peg. This compares to the WDUAA who allocate 10 free matches, irrespective of member numbers. Additional matches are available at £1.50 per peg. * The Club Championship would take place at Piddle Lake on Saturday 24th April 2010. So far 5 clubs had indicated that they were sending anglers but we were hopeful that more would register before the date. The pool owner has indicated that toilet facilities will be in place by then. * The chairman reported on work in progress at Cob House and in particular the car parking situation. He has tried, without success, to convince the owner to consider the needs of disabled anglers in making all anglers take a roundabout route from the car park to the fishing pools. In the meantime the members are advised that major work is due to complete shortly. PRESIDENT \ MATCH SECRETARY: The President reported that the canal towpath at Perdiswell had now been completed. He was arranging an open match with the draw taking place at Cavalier Bridge. New stocks of 10,000 silver fish were going to be transferred to the canal between bridges 117 and 133. RECORDS OFFICER: John Davies pointed out that only 4 forms had been received back from clubs so far. He reminded those who had not returned that their insurance is invalid until completed. AOB: Paul Wilson advised the meeting that there were signs suggesting that was no access to river frontage at Diglis due to British Waterways work.
