The current position is that this venue is still under the control of the WDUAA and negotiations are in hand for a new formal contract to commence June 2008. No new venues will be investigated until our position at Cob House farm is confirmed. Pool B has benefited from some re stocking by the new Landowners who have offered to arrange a match for WDUAA delegates on the new pool prior to opening to the public. Suitable dates to be arranged. Bank clearing at Cob House will be undertaken on 25th May in conjunction with the new landowners. Cob house Farm – JW \ RR conducted a successful meeting with Helen and Robert Taylor. The current site is to receive considerable re-development as a commercial fishery, however, current agreement with the WDUAA will continue under a formally agreed contract negotiable in June 2008. No fees have been discussed at this point. The re-development will include:- • Creation of 2 new pools close to current gate access and adjacent to pool A. • Landscaping of current 6 pools (currently used for breeding) • Installation of toilets, café and potential learning centre. Facilities will be available to WDUAA members. • Electronic gates and CCTV. • Removal of metal fencing around A&B pools. ( No livestock now on site) • Improvement of pegging on all pools due to H&S regulations. This will include removal of the shed and cleaning up of the island on pool B. • Removal of some brambles on our pools. • Re-stocking of pool B currently fishing very poorly after sluice failure during previous flood conditions. • Day ticket fishing at the rear of pools C & D if required (currently not accessible to WDUAA members) • Photograph ID will be required by ALL WDUAA members so as to be distinguishable from day ticket anglers. * The Association will suspend their efforts to locate another still water venue until costing for 2008 contract is agreed * 2. Chairman has received and accepted with thanks on behalf of the Association, a quantity of 7000 silver fish (roach, rudd and bream) which will be available in April \ May 2008. Fish will be certified and located by the match secretary when available – likely venue to be the canal. 3. Decision agreed unanimously to cancel January meeting due on the 2nd. Further appeal for Executive officers \ bailiffs for the Association in view of the Chairman’s impending retirement in February 2008. 2. Bank side maintenance. Good response from majority of clubs, however, still disappointing situation with a minority of other clubs who fail to turn up for the task. Forthwith, clubs failing to complete their respective task(s) will be summoned to appear before the Executive Committee with the potential of disciplinary action via a fine or loss of fixture(s) or expulsion from the Association. All clubs will be notified of this situation in writing and the subject will be discussed again at the next meeting. 3. Water allocation – Cob House Farm Due to the excessive demand for match bookings on this venue the following rules will now strictly apply. • Only 4 allocated matches per club per season will be allowed on Sunday’s. • Further allocations up to the permitted allocation of 8 matches will be permitted on any other day of the week pending availability. • If further matches are required on Sunday’s, they can be booked AFTER the 30th June each year pending availability @ £1.50 per peg. • Information to be added to the membership books in 2008. Executive officers are currently proactively seeking a new still-water venue via extensive efforts.
